My husband and I were married under the large oak tree in the courtyard of the Navarro House the evening of June 1, 1974. The San Antonio Police Department was (and still is) across the street from the Navarro House, and my husband served on the department for 21 years. We had about 40-50 friends and family celebrate our marriage with us in the courtyard--a great time! I'm very glad it's being preserved for future generations to enjoy.

We really enjoyed the tour. We never knew Mr. Navarro had such an influence on Texas history and Texas politics.
